Elephant Rocks State Park

Elephant Rocks State Park is a great family retreat because adults can learn about the 1.5-billion-year-old granite rocks that are the star of the park, while kids can climb and run all around the rocks without too much worry. You can also enjoy the beauty of the park and observe the animals that live there. The park has signage and a trail as well for those who are visually impaired, called the Braille Trail, that is easy to navigate for any person.

Activities

While seeing the large rocks at Elephant Rocks State Park is a must-do, there are other activities to do at the park that you should try, too. Some of them are:
  • Hiking
  • Picnicking
  • Rock climbing
  • Bouldering
  • Taking photographs
  • Fishing bluegills
  • and more!

We have been to elephant rocks before many years ago! We had so much fun climbing on the rocks and seeing the views!

Elephant Rock State Park is amazing. It starts out as simple trails and leads you to some of the most beautiful rock formations you will ever see. The trails are easy enough for the entire family. Pets are welcome as well.

It's a wonderful adventure for not only hiking but a bit of mild climbing too. Definitely brings out your inner kid. I can not wait to go back again! Lots of space & room to roam without bumping into too many guests/groups.
